History 

The Hartland Fire Department was organized in September 1893.

Monies used to buy equipment, vehicles, and gear were paid for by money raised

through dances, festivals and donations.

The Village of Hartland took over the fire department in 1958 and to this day all 

equipment, buildings, vehicles and wages are paid for by the Village budget process.
