SPRING PRIMARY ELECTION - TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 21, 2012, 7 a.m. - 8 p.m. - FOR THE OFFICE OF MUNICIPAL JUDGE AND HARTLAND/LAKESIDE SCHOOL REFERENDUM - All wards of the Village will vote in the Community Center, 210 Cottonwood Avenue. REMEMBER - SAY IT - need to announce your name and address; SHOW IT - need to present your Wisconsin Photo I.D.; - SIGN IT - need to sign your name in the poll book in order to receive a ballot!

WISCONSIN DEPT. OF TRANSPORTATION PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETING Wednesday, February 15, 2012 from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. - Board Room, Municipal Building, 210 Cottonwood Avenue. Representatives from the DOT will present plans for the WIS 16/WIS 83 interchange. The public is invited and encouraged to attend to review the proposed plans for this interchange. Hartland's Hometown Celebration - June 29, 30 & July 1, 2012 Planning is underway for this year's celebration. If you are interested in participating in the parade event or helping coordinate the events, please contact Christine Oestreich, 2012 Parade Coordinator at 262-369-6748 or email her at: coestreich@hartlake.org. The Parade will be held on Sunday, July 1 at 1:30 p.m. Fireworks are scheduled for Friday evening, June 29th. Parade Registration Forms and Sponsorship Forms are now available on this website, under the FORMS tab at the top of the page. Parade Registrations will be limited to the first 100 parade entries. Please get your application in soon!


WHAT IS .... Big and Cool & Wet and Fun and coming to Nixon Park in Hartland? TheLake Country Rotary and Lake Country Foundation are planning the construction of a Splash Pad in Nixon Park. The goal is to raise $300,000 in cash and in-kind donations to the complete the construction of the splash pad. Anticipated grand opening - Summer 2012. If you are interested in donating to this project, click here to get more details.

DOG AND CAT LICENSES The 2012 Dog and Cat Licenses are now available. The License form is available on this website under the FORMS tab and it is included in the tax bill mailing as well at the December Village Newsletter.

WINTER PARKING REGULATIONS Winter parking restrictions are in effect from November 1st through March 31st. Parking restrictions are in effect which prohibits parking on all village streets between the hours of 2 a.m. to 8 a.m. during SNOW EVENTS. Call the Hartland Police Department at 262/367-0358 after 3 p.m. each day if you wish to park on the streets overnight; the recorded message will let you know if you can park overnight based on the projected weather forecast. Parking citations will be issued to vehicles that park on any village street during these times when it has been restricted. A tow notice may also be attached to a vehicle and if the vehicle is not moved within 6 hours of the notice, it will be towed at the owner's expense.

ELECTION LAW CHANGES - Wisconsin Election Laws have changed. All voters must provide a State ID for voting purposes beginning with the 2012 February Primary Election. A valid State ID includes a Wisconsin Driver's License with your photo I.D. Voters must sign the poll book in order to obtain a ballot. A FREE Wisconsin ID card is available at Wisconsin Department of Motor Vehicle Offices. (Click here for more information) To find out more information about the Election Law changes. (click here).

NEW WARD MAPS The new ward map for the VIllage of Hartland created after the 2010 U.S. Census is now available for review on this website under the GIS tab. Wards 1-6 and Wards 7-12 will be combined for elections. Voting for most elections will continue to be held in the Municipal Building Community Center, 100 E. Park Avenue or alternate address, 210 Cottonwood Avenue. To view the map go to the GIS tab at the top of this page, on the right hand side of the page, click on Administration and then Voting Districts to view your ward configuration. Just a reminder that the Village Trustees and Village President are elected at-large positions.

NEW E-Cycle ELECTRONICS RECYCLING LAW The Village of Hartland Recycling Center located at 701 Progress Drive will be accepting computer peripherals, consumer printers, fax machines, VCR's DVD players/recorders, notebook, laptop and desktop computers and computer monitors. These items may now be deposited during our regular recycling hours in the designated collection boxes. Hours for recycling are: Fridays, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. CLICK HERE for more information regarding the electronics recycling law.
