Hartland author Deborah Oury will be here to share the remarkable story of her father Endre Lovinger. Endre was just seventeen years old when the Nazis invaded Budapest in March 1944. Taken from his family at gunpoint to work on a Jewish Forced Labor Brigade, he eventually escaped and found himself on the run trying to keep ahead of the Nazis. After more than seventy years of buried memories, he finally opened up and wrote of his past in letters to his oldest grandson; letters that Ms. Oury has now published so readers may learn of this amazing man.
