Survive Alive House
The Survive Alive House was built in 1993 by members of the Hartland Fire Department.  All labor was contributed by members, and money used in the construction were furnished by donations and from the Hartland Firefighter Association (not the Village budget).  Each year, more than 1,500 children visit the Survive Alive House to learn fire safety.  The children have an opportunity to be in a simulated house fire where they practice crawling to the nearest safe exit and gather at the designated meeting place.

The program includes opportunities to view fire safety videos, compete in a fire safety poster contest, as well as operate and spray water from a real fire hose. The Hartland Fire Department encourages all families, groups, and organizations to call and set up an appointment for a very educational adventure that may save the life of you or your loved ones.  There is no cost for the program!
