Full-Time Police Officer

The Village of Hartland Police Department is accepting applications until March 16, 2018 for a full-time police officer. The Village of Hartland is located approximately 20 miles west of Milwaukee, in the Lake Country region of Waukesha County. The Hartland Police Department has 17 full-time officers that provide 24 hour a day coverage to the community.

Qualifications: This position requires: a valid driver's license, absent of any major traffic convictions, no felony convictions or other criminal convictions that conflict with the ability to be a law enforcement officer, no domestic violence convictions, a minimum of 60 college credits obtained by June 1, 2018 (no exceptions) and eligibility for the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification. Candidates must be a certifiable police officer having graduated successfully from Recruit Academy Training or meet this eligibility by successfully completing Recruit Academy Training by June 1, 2018. Salary: Starting wage $57,970.32 with benefits package.

Recruitment Schedule: Applications must be filled out completely, typed (not handwritten) and submitted to the Hartland Police Department, 210 Cottonwood Avenue, Hartland by March 16, 2018. Applications may be submitted via email to  with attention to Nora or Julie. A physical fitness test will be conducted on Saturday, March 31, 2018 starting at 8:00 am. The testing will be at Lake Country Lutheran High School, 401 Campus Drive, Hartland. No alternate dates scheduled.
